Weekend News on March 22nd

I just received an email from our AP Coordinator Mrs. Ferguson stating that registration for AP tests has been extended to March 26th at 11:59PM. Your registration is done online now through the MYPayments plus system found on the Amity web site. If you haven't yet registered for the AP Art History test I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to earn up to 6 credits toward college. I'm also looking forward to reading your tests this weekend, and in case you lose your essay response packet, I've posted the 30 minute response prompt below. You have 30 minutes to answer the following question. Responses that answer the question directly will receive higher scores than those that simply list characteristics or include irrelevant points. Read the question and take a moment to think about what the question asks. Spend a few minutes organizing or outlining your response in the blank space provided below the question. Be sure to analyze the question carefully and choose appropriate examples. Identify your examples as fully as possible. Throughout history, technological developments have enabled artists and architects to express ideas in new ways. Choose and fully identify two works of art or architecture and the specific technological development that made each work possible. One of your choices must date before 1800 CE and one must date after 1800 CE. For each work, analyze how the technological development enabled the artist or architect to express ideas in new ways. (30 minutes)
