The 19th Century hosts a wide variety of art movements throughout Europe and America. Together, they help form the foundation for extraordinary individualism that will dominate 20th century art. Choose one artist from each of the following 19th century art movements, and one artwork from that artist, then explain in a short abstract why you feel that work is representative of its respective movement. Provide observable characteristics and at least one item of historical context to support your choice.
